Islander 36:
Our Islander 36s offer the graceful lines and eye appeal of a sailing classic, together with the seaworthiness of an all-weather performance cruiser. On deck, roller furling jib, gas powered rigid boom vang and a Dutchman mainsail takedown system facilitate sail handling. Down below is a spacious cabin with ample headroom, warm interior teak, brass fixture highlights, and a push-button electric head your guests will appreciate. In the cockpit, you’ll find a pull down teak lunch table and a gas barbeque grill for convenient picnicking when you want to relax at your harbor mooring.
The Islander l36 fractional sailing program is based on sail credit units. You start with an initial balance of 300 credits for a full share, which is drawn down each time you sail by an amount that depends on day of the week sailed, and whether you sailed a half day or full 24 hour days. Full 24 hour days are charged at higher rates than half days and weekend days are charged at more than week days. Although most skippers spread their sails over the entire summer, the initial balance is sufficient to start sailing one afternoon and not have to bring the boat back for two weeks. The full share rate for each of two Islander 36s is $3,750. Differences in the yacht equipment and the lease options, however, may affect preferences between our two Islander 363, Marilyn Anne and Ah Cha.
Marilyn Anne has both bimini and dodger and is sometimes favored by skippers who plan weekend escapes, sail when inclement weather is likely, or want maximum protection from the sun. Ah Cha has a 2/3 share lease option for a reduced rate of $2,750, and spontaneous free weekends sails on days the boat is not otherwise used.
